St Joseph’s School is looking for a Manager to operate the Canteen on our Primary Campus, 4 days per week.
The Canteen currently offers a range of good wholesome, made-on-the-premises, range of items which are all designed to meet the WA Canteen Standard for Schools and pride ourself on the quality of food offered to the students and staff. We are looking for someone who is able to work independently but who is also a team player and who loves to be of service to others.
Applicants will be expected to have a working knowledge and appropriate Accreditation in line with Safe Food Handling requirements (or be willing to obtain this within 4 weeks of commencing in the role). They should be fully supportive of the objectives and ethos of Catholic education and are required to submit a covering letter and an Application Form to the Principal at admin@sjsnortham.wa.edu.au.

The successful applicant will work collaboratively with Heads of Learning Areas (HOLAs) and, with the Head of Secondary (HOS), is responsible for the overall teaching and learning on the Secondary Campus and for ensuring that the School’s Vision for Learning is upheld. They will be a Senior Leader on the Secondary campus sharing the responsibility for the effective delivery of quality Catholic education at St Joseph’s School.
In their capacity as a senior teacher, administrator and school leader, the Dean is expected to provide a strong model for other teachers. Therefore, in addition to administrative duties, the Dean of Teaching & Learning will be required to undertake a teaching role. The Year 7 Coordinator’s primary role is to lead, support and take responsibility for the pastoral care and welfare of students in the year level. The Year 7 Coordinator is also responsible for ensuring a smooth and seamless transition for students moving into Secondary schooling. Responsibility is delegated to the Year 7 Coordinator by the Principal and Head of Secondary. The role of the Year Coordinator is seen as integral to the School’s philosophy of educating the whole person.
The Year 7 Coordinator will be expected to give leadership within the pastoral care programs of the School and to play an important role in the discipline system of the school.
