    Primary Teacher Full-Time, Ongoing  

    We are seeking a full-time, Ongoing Primary Teacher to commence on 1 January 2025

    St Joseph’s School Northam is situated in the picturesque Avon Valley, 50 minutes from Midland CBD, with approximately 780 students from Pre Kindy to Year 12.

    Selection Requirements:
    Special skills are needed and applications are invited from applicants who possess the following attributes: 
    *  be fully supportive of the objectives and ethos of Catholic Education
    *  be able to demonstrate highly competent classroom management and learning area skills
    *  possess a sound knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum
    *  demonstrates an understanding of the need for both Explicit and Differentiated instruction within a classroom environment
    *  be a creative, flexible and enthusastic educator who understands and can demonstrate the importance of ICT being embedded and integrated into their teaching
        practices

    *  be an enthusiastic and cooperative team person who will work collaboratively with all teachers and the Leadership Team
    *  understand the importance of feedback to parents and students
    *  show initiative and participate fully in school activities
    *  demonstrate a high degree of professionalism and excellent communication and organisational skills.

    Qualifications:
    *  Accreditation requirements as specified by Catholic Education WA – Accreditation to Teach RE (or be working towards)

    Auslan Teacher ~ Full-Time, Ongoing

    We are seeking a qualified and experienced Auslan Teacher for a potential age range of Pre Primary to Year 8 students to commence on 1 January 2025.

    St Joseph’s School Northam is situated in the picturesque Avon Valley, 50 minutes from Midland CBD, with approximately 780 students from Pre Kindy to Year 12.

    Special skills are needed and applications are invited from applicants who possess the following attributes: 

    *  have a sound knowledge of Auslan (LOTE) and the ability to develop and seek out resources to teach this language to students from Pre Primary to Year 8 to achieve specific
        student outcomes, 
    *  be fully supportive of the objectives and ethos of Catholic Education,
    *  be able to demonstrate highly competent classroom management and learning area skills,
    *  possess a sound knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum,
    *  demonstrates an understanding of the need for both Explicit and Differentiated instruction within a classroom environment,
    *  be a creative, flexible and enthusastic educator who understands and can demonstrate the importance of ICT being embedded and integrated into their teaching
        practices,

    Years 7 to 12 Science Teacher – Full-time, Ongoing
    1 January 2025

    This is a full-time, ongoing position for a Years 7 to 12 Science Teacher with the ability to teach at an ATAR level is preferred but not essential.  The ability to teach Chemistry is desirable.

    *  Science Teacher with the ability to teach Years 11 & 12 is preferred but not essential.  However the ability to teach Chemistry is desirable.

    *  be a creative, flexible and enthusiastic educator

    Years 7 to 12 Mathematics Teacher – Full-time, Ongoing
    1 January 2025

    This is a full-time, ongoing position for a Years 7 to 12 Mathematics Teacher with the ability to teach at an ATAR level preferred but not essential.

    *  Mathematics Teacher (ability to teach Years 11 & 12 is preferred but not essential)
