Dear Lord,
We ask you to bless St Joseph's School Community.
We pray that you guide us to be just and to see,
listen, speak and act like St Joseph.
May we be inspired by our Founders to be the best
that we can be.
May we always keep Jesus at the centre of all we do.
St Emilie Pray for us
St Marcellin Pray for us
St Joseph Pray for us
And may we always remember to pray for one another.
AMEN
Dear Members of St Joseph's Community
Well, we have finally made it to the end of another very busy year. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all families for their ongoing support of the school throughout the year.
It has been a joyous week filled with all sorts of end of year festivities – Our Kindy and Pre-Primary nativity play reminded us of the true meaning of Christmas and the Pre-Kindy children sang beautifully for their families as well.
Kindy and Pre-Primary
Pre-Kindy
The students from Years 7-9 who had retained their Good Standing got to spend several hours at the pool yesterday and lots of class parties have been held to wrap up a great year.
Our Year 6 students and their families celebrated the end of their primary schooling with a lovely assembly (slightly hampered by a power outage) and a morning tea. It was wonderful to hear about their fondest memories and their hopes for the future.
At this time of the year, we also farewell students and staff who are moving on from St Joseph’s School. The staff leaving us at the end of the year are Ms Lauren D’Silva and Mrs Carroll Kowald. We wish them both the best of luck in their careers. Ms Frost is taking 12 months off to rest and relax and we wish her a whole lot of joy in her travels.
Announced yesterday, is the news that our Head of Primary, Mrs Michelle Christian will be leaving us at the end of Term 1 2024. She has been appointed as the new principal at St Michael’s School in Bassendean. This is a wonderful appointment for Michelle and we will celebrate and farewell her properly at the end of Term 1.
Primary End of Year Assembly
To all those families leaving us at the end of today, we thank you for your time and contributions to the school. You go with our blessings and best wishes for the future.
I would like to wish you all a very happy and holy Christmas. I hope you enjoy the holiday season with your loved ones and we can’t wait to see the students back in 2024.
