On the Primary Campus
Year 5 Camp - What an Adventure
Wow – what an amazing two days our Year 5 students had on camp! On Monday morning, we hopped on the bus and headed down to the Swan Valley Adventure Camp, ready for two days of fun, teamwork, and new experiences.
The excitement began as soon as we arrived. Once we settled into our groups, the adventures kicked off — archery, kayaking, crate stacking, and art. In archery, there was extra motivation to hit the target — a chocolate prize for anyone who scored a bullseye! Needless to say, everyone aimed with great enthusiasm.
Kayaking was a splash (literally!), with Mr Ewing and Mrs Mainard joining in on the fun as students paddled their way around the water. Crate stacking tested our balance and teamwork — while we didn’t break the record, we certainly had a fantastic time trying! Our art session offered a chance to relax and get creative indoors, especially while the rain passed over.
In the evening, the fun continued with laughter, games, and plenty of late-night chatter before bedtime. By the time we headed home on Tuesday, everyone was tired but full of great memories.
It was a wonderful camp full of teamwork, laughter, and adventure — and we’re already looking forward to next year!

Scitech Challenge Day
Last Monday, eight Year 6 students proudly represented our school at the annual Scitech STEM Competition, competing against 24 other CEWA schools. Throughout the day, the students took part in a range of engaging challenges across Biology, Chemistry, Earth and Space Science, as well as Mathematics and Engineering. They demonstrated excellent teamwork, persistence, and enthusiasm as they tackled each activity. We are all extremely proud of how well our students represented our school.
