Whole School News
Last week was a really busy week in the life of the school – Year 5 camp, Year 10 Outdoor Ed camp, swimming lessons, many excursions and incursions and then the week culminated in the Year 12 Graduation Mass and supper. It takes a huge effort by many staff to ensure that all of these events happen and happen smoothy. Thank you to everyone involved.
This week the Year 12 WACE examinations began – we wish all of our ATAR students all the best for this exam period. They have all worked so hard for the last 18 months and our hope for them is that all that hard work pays off.
This week also saw the Year 7 Information night for our 2026 students – this is a significant milestone for our school as we welcome the new stream of students and their families into our community.
We have been informed that the builders for our Stage 14 building program will be on site from November 19 so we are just about ready to begin what is going to be a fairly crazy 12 months on the Secondary campus. Our two transportable classrooms will be delivered and installed on November 25.
Presentation Night
Our annual Presentation Night is taking place on Wednesday 5 November at 6.00pm (sharp) – 8.00pm for students in Years 1 – 12. Students should arrive by 5.45pm and find their class row of chairs. Please make sure your child is neat and presentable and shoes are polished for this formal event.
What to Wear:
- Years 1 & 2: Sports Uniform
- Years 3 - 11: Formal Uniform (old or new)
- Year 12: Formal Uniform (no tie & no leavers jumpers)
Wednesday at School: (Primary & Secondary)
Students may, if need be, wear their sports uniform to school in order to keep their other uniform clean for the evening's award night.
Christmas Gift Appeal:
Once again we are running our Christmas Gift Appeal. If you would like to donate a child's present we ask that it be placed in a gift bag (unwrapped) and put under the Christmas Tree on the night. These gifts will go to our Parish local community and also to St Vincent de Paul in Midland.
Families are asked to inform the school if their intention is to withdraw their children from St Josephs for the 2026 school year. We understand that family situations change, so ask that you let us know ASAP. This can be done by emailing admin@sjsnortham.wa.edu.au or by competing the Departure Form on the school website. Some year levels have very long wait lists and families who are desperate to get their children into the school.
