Kindy News – Oceans, Rivers and Adventures
Leading on from our rain and water inquiry last term, our Kindy students have been busy investigating oceans and rivers. We explored the wonders of the ocean, coral reefs, pollution, waterways, sea creatures, and their habitats. The children were especially delighted to dive into the magical world of pirates and mermaids!
To bring our learning to life, we transformed our home corner into a pirate ship, crafted pirate hats and maps, and set off on exciting treasure hunts. This imaginative play has been a wonderful way to deepen our knowledge of our world’s oceans.
This term has also been filled with special events. We participated in Book Week, celebrated NAIDOC Week, welcomed our families for Open Night, and proudly attended our very first Sports Carnival, where Kindy led the whole school in a warm-up dance.
Little Joeys - Term 3
'Little Joey's Stay & Play' group for 0-3 year olds, is on again this term. Come along and join this fun introduction to St Joseph’s School and we look forward to seeing the excited faces most Friday mornings.
