Congratulations to all those who entered items into the Northam Show over the last weekend. There were some wonderful entries but the most impressive was the Primary campus display – Mrs Dymnicki outdid herself this year and our display looked bright and colourful and showed off our talented students.

New staff

Today I am pleased to inform the community that we have filled our Primary Canteen Manager role and Groundsperson role. We are excited to have the following people join us.

Mrs Erin Elliott has taken on the role of Primary Canteen Manager and will reopen the canteen at the start of term 4. Erin and her family moved from Merredin two years ago and has held a variety of roles in kitchens of various types for many years. Most recently Erin was a cook at Bethavon and also ran the canteen for the Northam Basketball Association. Erin can’t wait to meet lots of new people and start serving the students some of her yummy food.

Mr Shane Buck is joining the team as our second groundsman. Shane has a long background in trades and has been a builder, plumber and baker and has owned several businesses. Shane is a doer and can’t wait to be in a job that allows him to be outdoors and busy, where everyday brings new challenges. Shane will begin in the second week of the holidays.

School Community Mass

Don’t forget that our Term 3 Community Mass is taking place this Saturday night at 5:30pm. It is the turn of the Year 4, 5 & 6 students – we hope to see many families at the mass.

Schooling Destinations 2026

Families are asked to inform the school if their intention is to withdraw their children from St Josephs for the 2026 school year. We understand that family situations change, so ask that you let us know ASAP. This can be done by emailing admin@sjsnortham.wa.edu.au or by competing the Departure Form on the school website. Some year levels have very long wait lists and families who are desperate to get their children into the school.
