Its been a really busy semester for the VET program with 32 students completing work placements in and around the Avon Valley.  Following a highly successful work placement, three students were offered and started fulltime apprenticeships and traineeships this semester, and another student started a school-based apprenticeship, working 2 days a week and studying at school for the remaining 3.  Two more students have secured fulltime apprenticeships which will start at the end of term 3. Career Expo

All year 10s attended the SkillsWest Careers Expo at the Perth Exhibition Centre this term where they engaged with industry representatives, training organisations and employers.  Career conversations are really important as students plan their subject choices for upper secondary education and begin to map out possible career pathways.
