Whole School News
After a very foggy and soggy start to the morning, our Year 4-12 Inter-House Athletics Carnival ran incredibly well yesterday. I was really impressed with the can-do attitude of most of the students who attended and it was wonderful to see greater participation in the events on the day. An enormous vote of thanks to Ms Lynch and Mr Watson and their teams for the huge amount of work that goes into the organising of such a huge event. The new venue provided a few challenges but also some opportunities to do things a bit differently.
Grateful thanks to the parents who helped in the canteen, who baked goodies to sell and who helped in the lead up to the day with shopping and other organisational tasks. The food was delicious and we are very thankful for your efforts.
Thanks also to the parents who volunteered their time to help in other ways during the carnival - measuring, raking, handing out ribbons etc. Carnivals can’t run without many hands so thank you again for donating your time.
Congratulations to all the individual medal winners – there were some outstanding results throughout the day. For the full list of winners will be published in next week's newsletter. Here are some highlights from the carnival!
