Welcome back to Term 3. I hope you all enjoyed a wonderful break and managed some down time.

We welcome some new staff to the school this term.

  • Into Year 4 we finally are able to meet Mrs Melissa Owen. Melissa joins us with two of her children also enrolled at the school, from Wales via Kalgoorlie. We are very grateful for Ms O’Loughin for the work that she did in the year 4 class last term to fill the gap while we wait for Melissa to start.
  • Into Year 2 Gold we welcome Ms Jessica Box Monday - Wednesday. Mrs Oliver, who was in there during this time has moved into other roles across the school.

Whole School Open Night

This is taking place between 4:00pm - 7:00pm on 31 JULY. This is a great opportunity for your children to show parents, grandparents and family friends around their class and their wider school. We hope to see many of you across the evening.

There will be:

  •  A scavenger hunt across both campuses with prizes
  • A free sausage sizzle on the secondary campus, cooked by the School Advisory Council members
  • The primary and secondary bands will be playing in the secondary undercover area from 5:30pm
  • A sensational Primary art display in the PAC
  • The sizing kit for the softshell jackets will be available in the foyer of the PAC
  • Interactive activities in classrooms on both campuses

Years 4 - 12 Interhouse Athletics Carnival

Don’t forget to save the date for this one – WEDNESDAY 6 AUGUST with the backup date in case of bad weather being set for Wednesday 13 August.

Change of venue due to Shire works at Burt Hawke Oval, our carnival will now take place at the Rec Centre ovals. An email will be sent home this week with more details.

There are plenty of opportunities to help on the day – timing, ribbons, recording, canteen – please reach out if you are happy to help with a job.

Congratulations to William James (Year 8) who represented Australia at the Junior Athletics Tour in Singapore. He put in an exceptional performance and finished the competition with a silver and a bronze medal. We are very proud of William and how hard he works.
