Whole School News
We have made it through to the end of what feels like a long term full of sickness. The students, staff and families at home have been smashed by a combination of covid, influenza A & B, whooping cough , gastro plus a few other assorted bugs and viruses. Thank you to all those who kept their children home when sick, it helped to slow the spread.
Founders' Week
Founders’ Week this week has been great fun, with almost all the years from 6-10 plus the 12s now having completed their annual Camino trek. A huge thank you to Mr Reidy for all the organisation that goes into having so many in one week and also to all the parents who came along to walk or help drive the support vehicles. Thanks also to Annette Syred who purchased all the fruit and snacks eaten along the way on behalf of the P&F.

The Primary classes had great fun building structures as part of their incursion and taking part in lots of other classroom based activities. This is a huge week for the staff of the school, so enormous thanks to all of them for the way in which they come together to make this week possible for the students.

Staffing
At the end of this term, we bid farewell to Ms Melanie Polain from our Secondary campus. We thank her for her time with us and wish her well. Mrs Vicki Spragg will be replacing her, but cannot start until week 3 of the term, so interim measures are in place until then.
We have our new Year 4 teacher, Mrs Melissa Owen starting next term and so we say farewell to Ms Anne O’Loughlin who has been in the class as a temporary measure since the latter part of Term 1. We are infinitely grateful to Anne for rearranging her life to stay with us so that the students in that class could have some consistency while we searched for a longer-term replacement. Anne’s energy and enthusiasm have been wonderful to have on staff.
As a result of the new teacher being full time, we also farewell and thank Mrs Bec Morrell who was one day a week in Year 4. Bec is leaving to concentrate on the family business. We thank her for her time with us as well.
