Term 2 has been a productive and focused time for our Year 9 – 10 and Year 11 – 12 ATAR students as they prepared for their Semester 1 examinations. Throughout the past week, students have made excellent use of their class time, supported by their teachers, to work through past questions and refine the materials needed for revision. These examinations provide an opportunity for students to demonstrate their knowledge across a range of topics and strengthen their recall skills.
Effective preparation strategies include:
(a) practicing questions both in class and at home, followed by reviewing the results;
(b) setting aside time each week to read through class notes and previously completed questions.
While last-minute revision can help reinforce learning, it is most effective when combined with consistent preparation over time.
Our Year 7 – 8 and Year 11 – 12 General students have also been working hard, continuing to complete a variety of assessments. These have included in-class timed responses such as quizzes, tests, or validations, as well as take-home tasks like practical applications and investigations. Their efforts reflect a strong commitment to learning and skill development across all year levels.
